Unboxd is a trans-led EDI consultancy, led by me, Octavian. I specialise in LGBTQ+ and trans-centred education, training, and consultancy, embracing the full spectrum of identities and experiences.
My approach is intersectional, recognising that every individual’s journey is unique and shaped by a range of identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences.
I’m passionate about expanding opportunities for trans and non-binary people across all sectors, and supporting individuals to navigate and thrive within environments that don’t always feel built with them in mind.
I work closely with individuals to help them build confidence and reach their full potential.
Alongside this, I support organisations through training, coaching, and consultancy to deepen understanding and create more inclusive, supportive environments.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to a future where trans people are empowered to access opportunities — and have the confidence to rise to meet them.
I’ve worked with a range of organisations, including Stonewall Housing, GIRES, Mermaids, Age UK, and Gendered Intelligence. I’ve also collaborated with Global Butterflies and Goldsmiths, University of London, where I’m a regular visiting lecturer.
Thinking outside the box
At Unboxd, I believe that true inclusion goes beyond policies and checklists. It’s about creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are.
The name Unboxd reflects my philosophy of challenging limitations and barriers to inclusion in a compassionate and non-confrontational way. I encourage individuals and organisations alike to unpack their thoughts, question assumptions, and think beyond traditional approaches to equality, diversity and inclusion.
